My husband is a retired teacher who is looking for a job. His applications are impressive with his credentials that include a Masters Degree in Industrial Arts and another in Administration. That's in addition to teaching degree, of course. What's the problem? He's over qualified.

I'm a writer, but at present, my career as such, is practiced on weekends and during late hours when I should be asleep replenishing for the next days work in my classroom. My husband, Allen, thinks he's retired, but in reality, he's still a teacher doing what teachers do when they retire; he substitutes.

Ah! No news from the Zone. What have you been doing and when are you posting? It's quite fun reading my posts...don't you think? It should would be fun to read some of yours :).
So what do we do, we overqualified people who want to retire from teaching but don't want to try to live off the measly pittance that a teacher's retirement consists of? In Texas, we don't even get Social Security.
